The Cosmos!

Indigenous People have their own beliefs about the Cosmos. I started teaching Scarlett some terms in Cree through images and when we're outside we point at the moon and stars and I explain to her how to say one star or many stars. One day she picked up this little thing she got from somewhere, she drew on the moon, earth and a shooting star and then came to tell me all of them in. I've also taught her how to say her Cree name "Day Star Girl" in Cree which she says at the end of the video.

I cannot wait to get my hands on Wilfred Buck's book " Tipiskawi Kisik: Night Sky Star Stories" so I can read those stories to Scarlett and my son Andrew.

This is about decolonizing and reclaiming our own stories about the Skyworld.
